Candles for annual circle festivals. Most of us Witches, Wiccans, Pagans and followers of other nature religions celebrate eight yearly circle festivals, symbolize the cycle of becoming and passing in nature and include the change of seasons and solstices.

The Celtic year cycle and also the witch year begin on November 1 and end on October 31 with Samhain. We celebrate Yule around December 21, which has been preserved through Christmas to this day.
