Mother Maiden Crone with tree of life
Description
Goddess sculpture
Trinity goddess
Mother Maiden Crone with tree of life, figure made of polyresin, Dimensions approx. 14 cm x 8.5 cm x 9 cm. The tripple Goddess of Witchcraft.
In Wicca (Gerald Gardner), the Goddess is embodied as a trinity consisting of Maiden (virgin color white), Mother (color red) and Crone (color black) by the high priestess of the coven.
The Great Goddess, like the Moon, meets us in several aspects: as a Virgin, as a Mother and as an Old Wise Woman. The Moon, which appears in the sky as a waxing virgin moon, finally round and full, like the Mother, just before giving birth. Finally, it wanes, to be born again with the new moon. An eternal cycle, as is the cycle of life. In most traditions, people worship the great goddess. She has many names: Hecate, Ceridwen, Morrigan, Aradia, Diana, Freyja, just to name a few. This goddess figure is bronzed and colored which makes it look like a metal statue and thus very noble.
