Wand Ivy and Pentagram
Description
Pentagram
Magic Wand
Wooden Wand Pentagram, approx. 45 cm x 5, diameter 3 cm, used in the ritual, to direct magical energies. Hand-carved wooden wand with attached pentagram and carved ivy tendrils. As the wand is made by hand, the shape and colour may vary.
The wand is used in rituals, for example to direct magical energies in the desired direction or to concentrate forces. It symbolises the will of the one who uses it and, in most traditions, is associated with the element of fire.
Wands are also used to draw the magic circle. In ritual, the wand represents the element of fire. In some traditions, however, it also stands for the element of air.
The pentagram, in its upright form, symbolises the harmony of the elements. In its inverted form, it is known as the Druid's foot, Pythagorean sign, pentagramma, to name but a few. A mystical sign, symbolising secrets, the perfection of the universe, or as a symbol of protection. The pentagram is the strongest magical sign of protection known to our ancestors. It is also used as a spell against evil.
The wand is also decorated with ivy, which is also a symbol of the goddess because of its five angular leaves. And because it is always green, even in winter, it symbolises eternal life, among other things. The Celts already worshipped ivy. And in their Ogham script, it was given the letter G, as its Celtic name was Gort.
