Many of us witches worship the goddess, as moon goddess. And the different phases of the moon influence and fascinate us in one way or another. In magic, we use the energy of the waxing moon to build, increase or attract things, for growth. The full moon to manifest things, for wishes, but also for spells or protection; the waning moon period for anything to lessen or pass away, also for spells. The new moon is most often used for a period of rest, meditation or recuperation, but also for new beginnings and starts.
